Negative Peace

Negative peace is commonly understood to be the absence of forms of direct physical violence or fear of physical violence. The Peace Finance Impact Framework taxonomy uses the term ‘safety and security’, which is analogous to negative peace, as one of its three peace dimensions. (See also: Positive peace)
